This spring break, we set out on an unforgettable 7-day adventure across the Caribbean, hopping from island to island and signing up for every activity that required a helmet, life vest, and waiver!
Our trip kicked off aboard one of Royal Caribbean’s biggest ships THE ICON — a floating playground packed with Pools, a Flowrider surf simulator, Rock walls, Zip Line, and endless ocean views. From the moment we stepped onboard, we knew this trip was going to be special.
We did everything imaginable on that ship, even dropping off the side of it hanging 154ft up in the air on a ride called Crown’s Edge, a thrilling ropes course that literally dangles you over the side while wearing special neon glow suits that allow the ship to find you if you go overboard. We knew this ride was just what we wanted to do by the length of the waiver we signed.
In St. Kitts, we soared 1,000 feet above the volcanic rainforests on zip lines, taking in some of the most insane views we’ve ever seen. St. Thomas brought even more adrenaline, where we learned how to Fly Board over the beautiful turquoise waters, balancing on powerful jet streams that flowed through firetruck hoses that were connected to the back of the jet skis. We even hit the first ever excursion back flip by a tourist! Watch the Series to see how it happened!
One of the biggest cruise ship highlights was the Flowrider. Every day on the ship, we kept coming back, learning new tricks and pushing ourselves further. By the end of the week, we unlocked every trick allowed by the ships crew and some that were not allowed (Luke's Barrel Roll Was Crazy)! We even unlocked the coveted blue band — marking us as advanced riders — 7500 people on board but only 10 blue bands were given out the entire week— we even landed the toughest trick on the Flowrider live on our YouTube stream: the Shuv It. We finished off our journey relaxing at Cocoa Beach, Royal Caribbean’s private island, soaking in the last moments of paradise before heading back home — hitting back flips, building sand castles, capturing crazy looking fish on camera and leaving just in time to board the ship before it set sail back to Miami.
If you’re looking for a cruise that combines adventure, beautiful destinations, and some serious thrills, this was it. And the best part? We caught it all on camera.
