We started YouTube in August 2022… We did some shorts before August but they really didn’t get views. Noah was getting really good at tricking Onewheel’s so we changed our niche to Onewheel tricks and riding, this changed everything!
Find a good niche that you can do well and create a name that doesn’t limit you to one specific thing.
We started by posting 1 short a day and realized quickly that we needed to do 1 long format video a week at the same time to have a chance to hit our watch hours. We figured out the long videos could be cut into smaller videos, and that’s what worked for us!
Do what you can do! The journey is long. Don’t get burnt out!
In July 2023, we built a water slide and used a go kart to pull us on a skimboard. It worked perfect! We started pond skimming and wakeboarding the same month! That’s when we realized our channel wasn’t just Onewheel but all board sports!
In August of 2023 we hit 1,000 subscribers! It took us 9 months to get there and 2 months before, we started posting 2-3 times a day to hit the number quicker. We found that we could maintain that schedule, and never looked back!
In March of 2024 we went to Wal-Mart to get some Marshmallows to use in a video, wile there, we filmed Noah dunking a basketball goal in the sporting good section. That evening, we posted that Short video called “He Got Booted” and it blew up! After 1,000 videos we finally had a video go viral! 2 Million Views and counting! After that, we had some other videos pop off and the sub counter kept going up!
In May 2024 we became YouTube Partners where we could add our Merch links to our videos! This was a huge Milestone! Our next Milestone will be unlocking Paid YouTube Ads!
It’s around 80-100k when Brands start reaching out🤞
We finally had a following that wanted to see what we were doing everyday instead of us doing a specific niche! We still post niche videos but we started posting more personal videos and found they did better than our niche videos.
Last night we hit 20,000 Subscribers because of a funny video called “Did He Say Go or Whoa” LOL!
You never know when your video will blow up! It might be in your camera roll right now needing to be uploaded!
This is not the end! Our goal is to get 100% monetized and hit 100,000 Subscribers! We have 3 years to make this a reality. In the end, you have to make enough money to support yourself or get a real job!
