After four days at sea, we finally hit land—and St. Kitts did not disappoint. We stepped off the ICON Cruise ship ready for adventure, and the island wasted no time delivering.
Watch Here
Within minutes of arriving, a man practically threw monkeys on us. Literally. Two tiny monkeys were suddenly on our shoulders posing for pictures. We laughed, snapped some shots, and handed the guy a little cash. Apparently, it wasn’t enough. Turns out, the monkey hustle is a full-on operation down here. Lesson learned—monkeys come with a price.
From there, we wandered through the market streets packed with knockoff luxury everything. Fake Louis bags, Rolex watches, Gucci belts—you name it, they had it. We’d never seen such a deep catalog of designer dupes in one place.
Next up was a tour bus ride into the mountains, and that’s where things really took off. The road wound its way up to a lookout point high in the volcanic peaks. From up there, we got a jaw-dropping view: the Caribbean Sea on one side, the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Unreal.
But the highlight of the day? The zip lines.
We barely made it back down in time to catch the excursion bus, which took us deep into the jungle. Before we knew it, we were standing high above the rainforest, clipped in and staring down a 1,000-foot line. The guide looked us dead in the eyes and said, “No brakes—just trust the spring.” Then he launched.
One of the guides even skipped the harness and just rode it freestyle across the canyon. Total madman.
We flew over the trees at 40MPH, screaming, laughing, and living our best lives. Each line got more intense than the last. Mom, Dad, all the kids—we crushed four major zip lines and made memories we’ll never forget.
We wrapped up the day by bussing back to the port, still buzzing from the adrenaline and the views.
St. Kitts brought the heat—and the monkeys, and the zips.
We’ll be talking about this day for a long time.
