For the last couple of months, we’ve been figuring out our new winch and pushing it harder every chance we get. But this Florida trip was on a completely different level.
We loaded up, hit the beach, and ended up having one of the wildest weeks we’ve had in a long time. From flying across the surf at high speeds, to riding in dangerous conditions with red flags out, to almost losing the winch in the waves, every single day had its own story.
And somehow that still wasn’t all.
We were also cruising Seaside on our Onewheels, hitting a huge staircase jump, getting run off by security, and making memories we won’t forget any time soon.
Here’s the trip broken down day by day.
Day 1: We Anchored the Winch to a Yeti and Started Flying
Day 1 could not have started any better.
We brought the winch out to the beach and anchored it to a Yeti cooler, which honestly sounds crazy until you see it work. Once everything was locked in, we started making run after run and quickly realized this session was going to be special.
We were moving across the surf at around 25 miles per hour, getting clean pulls, and stacking some of our best clips of the trip right away. The conditions lined up, the setup worked, and we absolutely popped off.
It was one of those days where everything clicks and you just keep sending it.

Day 2: Red Flags Were Out, But We Sent It Anyway
Day 2 had a completely different feel.
The red flags were flying, the surf was rough, and the beach was almost empty. The only thing moving out there was a lifeguard truck with its lights on while they were trying to help people in the water.
Most people would have looked at that and called it a day.
Not us.
We still brought the winch out, but because of the waves and changing beach conditions, we had to set it up higher on the sand. That made everything tougher. The angle changed, the timing got harder, and it took more work to get things dialed in.
But once we started figuring it out, the session turned into another insane day. It was heavier, sketchier, and way more unpredictable than Day 1, but we still made it happen.
That’s what made it so fun.

Day 3: We Almost Lost the Winch
Day 3 was the day things got really intense.
We decided to move the winch closer to the surf to improve the pull and open up better lines. It worked… but it also came with a serious risk.
The waves were coming in stronger than expected, and every now and then one would surge up the beach and get way too close to the winch. We were constantly adjusting, watching the water, and trying to keep everything dry.
Truthfully, the winch did get wet a few times.
That made the whole session feel like controlled chaos. We were trying to ride hard while also keeping an eye on the gear and making sure one big wave didn’t end the day.
It was stressful, wild, and unforgettable.

Bonus Chaos: Onewheels in Seaside, a Huge Stair Jump, and Security
As crazy as the beach sessions were, the trip didn’t stop when we left the sand.
We brought our Onewheels into Seaside and started cruising through town looking for spots. Before long, we found an insane staircase jump and had to go for it.
It was one of those moments where you know it’s probably a bad idea, which usually means we’re definitely doing it.
Of course, security eventually showed up and told us to leave, which only made the whole thing more memorable. Somewhere in the middle of all that chaos, we even had some girls blowing kisses at us.
The whole week felt like one nonstop adventure.

A Trip We Won’t Forget
This Florida trip had everything we could ask for:
high-speed beach runs, rough surf, sketchy conditions, close calls, big laughs, and some of the most fun sessions we’ve had with the winch so far.
Every day brought something different, and every day gave us a story worth telling.
